Orora has announced its 2017 Supplier of the Year Awards at a gala function in Melbourne.

Orora has announced its 2017 Supplier of the Year Awards at a gala function in Melbourne, recognising key business partners that are supporting the company and its strategy for future growth.

Orora announced that Natrio (Pro Asia Pacific) was the overall winner of the Supplier of the Year Award for 2017. Orora also announced category winners in four critical areas for the company, which included innovation, customer focus, working together and commercial excellence.

“Orora enjoys strong relationships with suppliers who are investing time and resources to deliver mutual value for our respective organisations,” said Nigel Garrard, Orora Managing Director and CEO.

“We regard our suppliers as trusted partners who are helping to generate new and improved ways of working that ultimately drive customer excellence, innovation and improved commercial outcomes for Orora.

“The awards are an ideal way to recognise the important and substantial contribution our suppliers make to the Orora business every year,” Mr Garrard said.

In addition to being named the Orora Supplier of the Year, Natrio won the Innovation Award for their work supporting Orora’s glass business.

Natrio is an international company and the world’s largest supplier of Soda Ash. The company recently established a world-class bulk handling facility in Adelaide to service Orora’s glass manufacturing plant in Gawler, South Australia, which recently announced a capacity expansion of 60 million bottles per year. 

Category winners at the 2017 Orora Supplier of the Year Awards included:

  • Working Together – Hamburg Sud Australia
  • Commercial Excellence – Bobst; and Print & Pack
  • Customer Focus – Shandong Century Sunshine Paper Group
